How the J Series works
A J Series fountain is a floating motor and pump that throws water into the air in a decorative pattern. Twist and lock nozzles let you change the pattern without tools, and every unit ships with five nozzles, a float, a bottom screen, mooring lines and a control panel with GFCI protection.
The spray adds oxygen to the surface water and keeps it moving, which discourages mosquitoes and floating plants. Kasco recommends the 3/4 HP for about 1/4 acre and the 7.5 HP for about 2.5 acres; we confirm the size and placement for your pond’s depth, shape and power supply.
Most fountains should come out of the water before freeze up unless the manufacturer rates them for winter use.
